Yorokobi Studio is an independent visual novel project built with calm, sincerity, and respect for stories about pain, growth, and hope. We are small, and we are in no hurry to pretend otherwise.
Who We Are
Yorokobi Studio is a small independent studio focused on visual novels with emotional weight, delicate atmosphere, and sincere character writing. It begins as a humble, solo-led creative project, with the intention of growing only when the work itself asks for it.
Our Philosophy
Yorokobi means joy — but not the kind that ignores suffering. For us, joy is something earned through hardship: a quiet light found after loss, confusion, fear, or loneliness. We want our stories to treat those experiences with patience instead of spectacle.
Why Visual Novels
The visual novel is a generous form. It gives room for silence, for a held breath, for a single line of music to change the meaning of a scene. It lets a reader sit close to a character's inner world. That intimacy is exactly where we want to work.
A Small Studio With a Long Road Ahead
The studio is still developing its tools, prototypes, workflow, and first public projects. We prefer a slow and honest path over rushing to appear bigger than we are. Yorokobi Studio exists to learn, improve, and create works that can eventually stand with quiet confidence.
How We Build
We build in small, deliberate steps: short prototypes, careful writing passes, and honest feedback. Production notes are shared openly as we go, so the process stays transparent. Nothing is announced before it is real, and nothing ships before it is ready.
What We Value
Tenderness over shock. Character over mechanics. Sincerity over hype. Patience over speed. We value the small emotional turns that make a scene linger — and we would rather make one honest work than many hollow ones.
We make stories for people who still listen to quiet feelings.
Our work is emotional, but not empty drama. It is a search for tenderness inside difficult experiences — and a belief that joy is worth the long road it takes to reach.
